SONY XPERIA INDONESIA
I went to Singapore a few days ago for the first time and used Google Maps by my phone Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc to guide me.
In addition, I used XL (Indonesian telephone and internet provider) and got roaming service through M1 (Singapore telecommunication provider) network.
I thought it would have worked in Singapore as well as in my country Indonesia but in fact it was not.
It seemed only the data plan that’s working whereas the GPS was totally not. It worked on a few places only.
I presumed so because the locator shaped only a blue dot whereas it should have been an arrow that aimed where you went to. That instantly confused me due to inaccurate location of me using only data plan.
Moreover, I was mostly on the outside.
The data plan also well covered most areas in Singapore.
But when I came back in Indonesia, the GPS was working fine as usual.
Have anyone ever dealt the same problem as mine? Can anyone explain what happens?
Was it Singapore regulation that prohibited GPS usages?

It’s just a malfunction …..
